‘Mood Hoover’ is an anthemic new single from Connie Constance. It’s a laid-back, massively catchy tune that leans into the minimalistic guitar work that persists throughout. At the same time, the chorus manages to develop into a thick, noisy, rock texture reminiscent of that Pixies-esque soft-loud-soft structure. “The writing of this song came from one of my mum’s classic phrases,” she explains, on the background of the track. “‘Mood Hoover’, she would call my adolescent brother when he would finally make it down to dinner to be around his (from his teenage point of view) out of touch parents and uncool siblings, and not really want to engage in our family chit chat.” Her upcoming album, Miss Power, is due for release on November 4th, 2022.
